Spirit-Filled Morning of Worship that included Lord's Supper, Special Prayer, and an introduction for me to the grand-daughter of an old family friend.....a lovely time!

What an honor, to be included in an Exhibition that showcased the lives of t 20 Jackson ladies. Friends joined me for an afternoon of Japanese Sweets, Lavender and Banana Teas, stimulation conversation and my music!!!

This was a special evening to showcase all things Mississippi for my family of friends (from four Continents), and celebrate my 60th Birthday!! It began with a Champagne Reception at the Municipal Art Gallery where my first photo exhibit is hanging for the month of January, along with the Art of my friends, Lisa Paris, Jim Hudson, Lamia Dabit and Sherrod Taylor. An appreciative audience enjoyed our work!
The Gala at the Museum featured wonderfully upscale delicacies such as lobster tacos, and chicken salad on cornbread chips.
The cake at this event was my favorite....Mandarin with Lavender-infused White Chocolate frosting! WOW!!!

Everyone enjoyed the great foods and the variety of music. The best part for me, was seeing my friends get to know each other!!!

The first event of Meet Me in Mississippi treated all guests to a truly southern evening. The hosts provided so many treats that brought special memories, such as....Lexington Spring Street Tomato Aspic, Slap Your Mama Pecan Pie, Small Bottles of Coca Cola with slim tubes of salted Peanuts. The cake was adorned with turquoise butterflies and music notes. We also had blue and turquoise butterfly shaped cookies. No southern evening is complete without Mint Juleps, and they were splendid.
My solo performance at the end of the evening was a time for reflection among my friends. They particularly appreciated "The Mississippi Song"! What FUN we all had!!

This was a very successful three months in Osaka - a first for me!
